Hmm. . .let’s see. . .”Biblical values”: care for the poor, the widow, and the orphan; welcome the stranger; feed the hungry; clothe the naked; visit the prisoner, don’t pile up wealth at the expense of the community, right? I can get behind those. They might even count in some way as embracing the “sanctity of life,” or at least the dignity of all human beings. But I missed the part of the Bible where something resembling the modern version of monogamous heterosexual marriage was explicitly endorsed, and also the part where Jesus condemned homosexuals. . . .
